Mullin was graduated with distinction from the University of Missouri, and received from the Uni­versity of Chicago the degree of Master of Science in Physiology in 1933 and the degree of Doctor ofPhilosophy in the same department in 1936. He served for a time as an assistant professor of physiologyat the University of Texas Medical School before coming to the University of Chicago in 1938. In addi­tion to his position as Assistant Professor of Physiology, Mr. Mullin has served as Assistant Dean ofStudents in the Division of the Biological Sciences. He has participated with marked success in the Gen­eral Course in the Biological Sciences.EUGENE P. He served for a time as an assistant professor of physiologyat the University of Texas Medical School before coming to the University of Chicago in 1938. NORTHROP, Associate Professor of Mathematics in the College and Associate Dean of the CollegeMr. Northrop is a graduate of Yale University, having received the Bachelor's degree in 1930, the degreeof Master of Arts in 1932, and the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in 1934. Before coming to the Univer­sity of Chicago in 1943, he was an instructor in mathematics at Yale and at the Hotchkiss School. He isthe author of Riddles in Mathematics (1944) and Fundamerial Mathematics (1944-45).
