The logical time for amember of the club to advance hisviews upon the subject is' at theclub's annual m.eeting-a distinctiveaffair, much resembling that oft-called-to-mind New England institution, the town. meeting. On March 7 themembers of the club will elect officers from the list of candidateSnamed at the caucus and nominatedsubsequently by petition. Last year340 votes were cast. I was in Bartlett today and could not find a hook onwhich to hang my coat and hat.Mr. Stewart told me that the fellows, after removing their coats andhats, locked the hooks and carriedthe keys a way. I examined the hooksand found that of the 238 hooks, only 9 were in use with coats' orhats in them; some 8 or 10 werebroken, and all the rest-e-about 200-wthout exception, were unusedhut closed and the keys gone. This is a deplorable state of affairs. I cannot believe that the menwho are ·"reserving" hooks realizewhat an inconvenience they arecausing the many other students whoare obliged to use the gymnasium..:?20 is a small proportion of the menwho are in Bartlett every day, andthese 220 are making the hooks entirely useless to others, just toinsure their getting a particular hookfor an hour or so a day.
